Introducing our NEW school holiday workshop for ages 8-13.
This April we have a new Let’s Get Digital programme for ages 8-13. At 2D Game Design, tamariki learn what goes into making a 2D arcade game from scratch.
What the workshop covers
In the two-hour workshops, tamariki will learn the basics of Construct software.
First they design their own custom sprites and game assets, then they build their map, adding walls, tokens, and monsters. Finally, tamariki are shown how to adjust the game physics in different ways.
After the workshop, tamariki can download Construct for free on their home computer if they wish to continue building.
Please note: Tamariki must have a base knowledge of how to use a mouse and keyboard, especially how to right click and double-left click.
