Tuesday 9 July (ages 11-13) and Tuesday 16 July (ages 8-10)
An introduction to 3D Game Design. In the digital world of Atmosphir there are no limits to your imagination! This two-hour workshop in the MediaLab gives tamariki the opportunity to try out 3D Game Design by creating a complex virtual world of their own design, filled with challenges and puzzles.
Wednesday 10 July (ages 11-13) and Wednesday 17 July (ages 8-10)
Tamariki who have already completed 3D Game Design or a similar course will love this advanced workshop run by Joe Chang from Kids Game Dev. In this four-hour course, tamariki dive into the multi-layered process behind game development, including programming, 3D modelling, game art, animation, and heaps more.
Tamariki can complete the beginners course Let’s Get Digital: 3D Game Design the previous day to qualify for this workshop.
Monday 8 July (ages 6-8)
Tamariki can create their own secret language these school holidays. We will learn about different types of codes and ciphers, then turn shapes and symbols into an alphabet and use it to write hidden coded messages!
Tamariki must be dropped off and signed in by a caregiver, and picked up after the workshop.
