As we enter Autumn, it’s nearly time to say haere rā to our play activation Topsy Turvy. 

The final day to enjoy Topsy Turvy will be Saturday 3 May. The space will be closed for two weeks, reopening with a new theme on Monday 19 May. 

At Topsy Turvy, your senses lead the way:

• Treat your eyes by exploring the spinner wall, a mural wall with surprises hidden within, warped mirrors and light up tables. 
• Follow your ears for auditory illusions including a surround sound bath.
• Discover unexpected noises when familiar images come alive with sounds when you touch them. 
• Move your body by climbing up or crawling under the central platform which looks out over PlayHQ. Slither down the slide, flop on the padded mat and try your best to balance along the wonky walk. 

There is something for every age, with a low sensory area to relax in, and a custom designed black and white baby area with bright surprises to be discovered. 

Please note: Topsy Turvy contains heavily contrasting black and white patterns. This may cause discomfort or trigger reactions from those with epilepsy, migraine, or other photosensitive conditions.
