Night sky depicting where Matariki and Puanga are.

This exciting, full-day programme is a collaboration between Te Ara Whānui ki te Rangi Space Place and Nōku te Ao Capital E.

Students begin at Te Ara Whānui ki te Rangi Space Place in the morning, where they explore the science and stories of Puanga and Matariki. In the afternoon ākonga ride the Cable Car down to Nōku te Ao Capital E, where they enter the OnTV studio and create a television show which builds on their knowledge and understanding using an in-house script.

The programme is a lively, fun, and imaginative way for ākonga to connect the night sky to mana whenua knowledges and their own lives.
