Principal sponsor - The Winton and Margaret Bear Charitable Trust
This Trust was set up by generous and community-focused Wellington couple Winton and Margaret Bear (now deceased). Unable to have their own children they devoted their lives to helping young people, putting every cent, every asset - even their family home - into the Trust through Trustees Executors."The festival perfectly mirrors the Bear's philosophy of giving to youth," says Trustees Executors Client Account Manager David Copson. "It also reflects our criteria - their thoughts on giving and our standards, it's the perfect fit." The Trust supports non-profit organisations and projects - especially those that benefit underprivileged children. Part of the Trust's Festival sponsorship will go to subsidising tickets and increasing access to festival events for all children throughout in the Wellington region.
