Principal sponsor - The Winton and Margaret Bear Charitable Trust

This Trust was set up by generous and community-focused Wellington couple Winton and Margaret Bear (now deceased).

Unable to have their own children they devoted their lives to helping young people, putting every cent, every asset - even their family home - into the Trust through Trustees Executors."The festival perfectly mirrors the Bear's philosophy of giving to youth," says Trustees Executors Client Account Manager David Copson. "It also reflects our criteria - their thoughts on giving and our standards, it's the perfect fit." The Trust supports non-profit organisations and projects - especially those that benefit underprivileged children. Part of the Trust's Festival sponsorship will go to subsidising tickets and increasing access to festival events for all children throughout in the Wellington region.

"We have created a studio that can dedicate itself to promoting the arts," says director/designer Janelle Rodrigues. "We're proud to be sponsoring the Capital E National Arts Festival and see it as an exciting opportunity for children in New Zealand to own their own festival here in Wellington."
